FC Bodø/Glimt, a club from a small town beyond the Arctic Circle, did not even compete in European competitions just a few years ago. Defeating one of Europe’s top clubs, Atlético Madrid, on their home ground is truly an exceptional achievement. Advancing from the Champions League group stage is a huge success for the club — for the team, the fans, and Norwegian football as a whole.

Bodø/Glimt secured a 2–1 victory in Madrid, thereby earning their place in the Champions League knockout stage. This result is even more significant as it came at Atlético’s legendary home stadium, where the hosts rarely drop points. Bodø/Glimt delivered a disciplined, brave, and tactically mature performance, managing to surprise the group favourites.

A key part of this outstanding success was Fredrik Sjøvold, a player from our agency and a regular member of the Bodø/Glimt squad. For the young player, this represents an important milestone in his career and further proof of his continued development at the highest European level. Bodø/Glimt thus continues to write its remarkable European story.

We warmly congratulate Fredrik and the entire team and wish them the best of luck in the next stage of the competition.
